What Effect Will Trump's Concentration Camps have on his reelection campaign?

This is bonkers. If you wanted to say you you didn’t believe them you should have just said so without making up this whole thing about how these primitive folk with their ooga booga language couldn’t understand that they weren’t supposed to drink out of the toilet and it’s all just a wacky mix up.

You should have just said you don’t believe the congresswomen who said that the only available water was in the toilet bowl and instead you believe the border patrol agents who said… who haven’t said anything. That’s who you believe. The people who haven’t yet spoken.

AOC says Ayanna Pressley tried the faucet and no water came out. Link.

If I remember correctly from previous discussions with you, you are remarkably resistant to facts and evidence, no matter how overwhelming, that conflict with your political beliefs. For example, I remember how you managed to read the DOJ report of evidence of racial bias in policing in Ferguson without noticing any evidence of racial bias in policing in Ferguson. I am, in all honestly, not entirely sure what you would do if the GOP party platform included the belief that the moon was made of cheese.

In this case, you have managed to be unaware that AOC physically entered into a CBP facility. You are unaware that she specifically said that she has been inside the facilities. You’re unaware that she specifically said that she held, sat with, and spoke to current detainees. You also seem to be unaware that AOC specifically said their phones were taken from them and cameras were not allowed (but that Castro managed to smuggle one in and take photos), but you’ve managed to turn the fact that she wasn’t permitted to take photos into a conspiracy theory that she wasn’t actually there.

I’ll go back to a comment I made to Octopus that I’m fascinated by how much the right wing position is indistinguishable from abject ignorance.

No, no, willful ignorance.

CMC fnord!

Is that what the angry man on the teevee said?

Tucker “immigrants make America dirty” Carlson.

Your confidence isn’t worth a tinker’s dam.

Holy.

Fucking.

Shit.

You are honestly claiming that the detainees don’t know what a toilet is?

I just… I am speechless.

(And that’s saying something)

Guess there are 3 liars, huh Ditka?

And bear in mind that our Hurricane Dikta is one of the reasonable Republicans.

There are many, many others out there who could not hope to be this coherent, this articulate and this (yes) reasonable.

Others who simply write the asylum seekers off as non-human animals who actually do not deserve to be treated as human - because they are not.

Shorter HD: I hate these people so I call them liars just because.

More like: I’ve heard them tell lies about other things, so I’m not confident they’re telling the truth about this. Here is another account that’s at least as credible as AOC’s:

You’ve heard Trump tell far more lies and you believe every word he says.

To be fair, he is also saying that when you have a large group of Central American adult women and a 45 year old African-American woman who grew up in Chicago, it would not be surprising if none of those primitive fucks knew how to work a faucet.

…five? Only five? Not five pages, but five statements?

Not even close to somebody like Ted Cruz, who has eight pages of half-truth, lies, and “pants on fire.” And don’t forget the President of the United States, who has 35. Not 35 statements: 35 pages.

Your citing Anna “Prayer Mat” Giaritelli as at least as crediable as AOC? Giatelli has no crediblity at all.

This account is a Tweet anonymously quoting a border patrol agent who describes an incident almost nothing like the situation AOC described with the exception that both stories involved toilet water.

AOC describes hearing from multiple women that the only water available where they are being held is in the toilet and another congresswoman checks the sink to verify that it doesn’t work.

This is not remotely like anonymous border patrol guy’s account that a migrant once drank out of the toilet.

So let’s summarize your position here:

  1. Migrant woman has never seen a water faucet
  2. Such people understand that drinking water from a toilet is preferable (not clear if these ignorant people know what a toilet is, since they don’t understand faucets)
  3. Member of Congress also can’t operate a faucet
  4. CBP Officer lacks skills to tell someone how to operate a faucet in Spanish, but sees the woman use the toilet to drink from while supervising overcrowded cel
  5. Dozens of other Spanish-speaking women in same cell also decline to tell the one woman not to drink from toilet
  6. CBP can be counted on the maintain all utilities in fine working order despite overcrowding of the facility by seven times its maximum capacity, leading to outbreaks of lice and dangerous communicable diseases, where the officers feared riots due to deteriorating conditions… but it just doesn’t make sense that a faucet could be broken. Ridiculous!

I know I’m filling in some gaps here, but just tell me — all of this sounds quite reasonable to you, huh?

Not even close.

You know what else he thinks isn’t completely unreasonable…

You know that thing about the inhabitants of Hispanola being unable to see Columbus’s ships because they lacked a frame of reference to even comprehend what they were looking at?

Same exact thing with Central American women or 45 year old African-American women with six figure salaries and faucets.
