Read the book and loved it, saw the movie and loved that too. I heard a number of people complaining about the changes the movie made, but since it’d been a few years since I read the book I didn’t notice many. And while Julianne Moore’s character did bother me a bit for reasons I couldn’t quite nail down, the portrayal of the locals more than made up that.
