I heard on an Air America talk show the other day that the Project for the New American Century had “disbanded” in 2005 but its members were still meeting regularly. Is this true? It wasn’t in the news at the time, AFAIK. But PNAC’s website has not been updated since 2005 – at least, I can find nothing on it of more recent date.
Did PNAC disband?
Why?
Does it, despite having disbanded, still maintain some kind of existence?
Obviously, their mission was accomplished.

In the What’s New section, they have listed books and articles right through Dec 2006. Usually your best bet to figure out if a site is still running is the ‘what’s new’ page or the ‘press releases’ page or whichever page they use to bring you their latest info.
And they changed their name to Project for the New Iranian Century to reflect the fact.
I believe most of them are busy counting the loot, the dumb one is left keeping up appearances in the front office.
