two parts of the head? This was the riddle on “Car Talk” this week. What’s the answer?
I love ‘Car Talk’, … but I don’t know the answer. Sorry.

I don’t know that one but do you know the only english word in common use that has four consecutive double letter groupings?
Well, let us know when you find it.

I take it they don’t want BEARSKINS, though ear and skin are certainly both parts of the head…
More likely SEARCHING…ear and chin.
Just came up with that one…you’re welcome. Remember me if you win anything.
Of course, Karl Gauss helped. (A little.)
I can think of one with three: bookkeeper.
Um, yes but it’s actually bookkeepper
That was the puzzler on Weekend Edition, not Car Talk. Perhaps you got confused because Wil Shortz was on Car Talk the day before. SEARCHING is the answer, cos it leaves you with EAR and CHIN.

I’m not going to say anything; I’ll just let you figure it out.
The response I have always seen to the “4 consecutive double letters” word is SUBBOOKKEEPER. Not that I really think that’s a word, but that’s the answer I remember.
