What food sends you straight to the bathroom?

For me:it’s mushrooms and anything with High butter content. I remember one time I tried this Swiss and mushroom burger and as soon as I finished eating it I ran straight to the bathroom. It’s a good thing I was home at the time or else that would have been a nasty mess:eek:!

Fettucine alfredo.

Not really any particular food, with me it’s not eating all day and then eating a big meal.

I was invited to a dinner party once, didn’t eat enough before hand, ate a very delicious meal and …BOOM… went right through me. The bathroom was right by where everybody was hanging out.
Embarrasing.
Not as bad as if I wouldn’t have made it to the restroom!

LOL omg that is embarrassing ,luckily no one was there when I blew up the bathroom!

Vindaloo curry. Absolutely love it, but the stuff takes the express lane through my intestinal tract.

Pork products of any kind.

Bucket o’ clams. Now I can’t stand even a few clams, they make me nauseated.
Roddy

Coffee.

Any fancy, creamy coffee beverage. Both coffee and milk send me to the restroom on their own, but not as readily as the two put together–it’s like mixing evergreen tree branches and gasoline. 'S why I stick to tea when I want something caffeinated.

Coffee, black pepper, and any uncooked allium. I can eat thoroughly cooked allium, fortunately. Also, any pepper that’s hotter than bell pepper. And I LOVE Mexican food. Peppercinis won’t send me right to the bathroom, but I will be spending some time on the porcelain throne regretting my decision to eat one in a few hours afterwards. Oh, do I regret it. But I love them so.

Orange melon, cheap fake “ice cream” like at McDonalds, raw green peppers

The staples. Spicy and dairy.

Anything with a high fat content, especially if it is fried in canola oil. I seem to have a dietary sensitivity to it. It is to the point that I can not eat at most fast food places, especially McDonalds/Burger King/Wendys/KFC. I made the mistake of eating a sandwich wrap from a NYS Thruway rest area that had a canola based mayo and spent a serious amount of time in the bathroom at the very next rest area [about 20 minutes drive. I almost didn’t make it.]

Too much dairy, I can do cream in my coffee/milk in my tea, but a milkshake or dish of ice cream is right out. Lactaid type products do nothing. I can do cheese just fine though so I am happy.

Tropical/palm/coconut products. Right through me slick as a whistle. Needless to say between this and the death allergy to mushrooms I don’t get to do many convenience foods. Not that I mind, they tend to way oversalted and we really do love to cook, but it limits what I can eat away from home much of the time.

Since this is not about cuisine but about bowel function, I’m going to move it from Cafe Society to IMHO.

Beer on lees

Apple juice, broths, any fried foods…

Pretty much everything. I have a very “effective” digestive system.

If I had to pick the worst, it would be most Chinese food or coffee. But that’s only marginally worse than almost any meal I eat.

What’s the shortest amount of time it can take for food to pass through the digestive system? Can eating something accelerate the digestive process of food that’s already been in your system for a day?

Indian food at times.

But really, when I find it, I’m going to make it a part of my diet. :o

I don’t think it’s digestion exactly. I get the feeling that when I eat my stomach dumps a lot of acid, which then drano’s its way through whatever was already in my intestines.

TMI perhaps, but this seems to make more sense.
