I suspect I am not alone in this phenomenon. I really enjoy cracking open a fresh:

[li]Container of ice cream. Especially if it is slightly softened. That first creamy scoop becomes delicious the moment the scooper breaks the plane.[/li]
[li]Jar of peanut butter. See ice cream, above. Creamy, not crunchy.[/li]
[li]The Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle. I look forward to Sunday mornings when I can find that fresh crossword, quarter and crease the paper just so, and read that first clue, pen in hand. And it’s gotta be the Sunday NY Times puzzle; no others do that for me.[/li][/ul]
Fiber gummies. They’re so soft and squishy and they release a delicious fruity chemically aroma when you peel off the seal. They become progressively stiffer and drier very quickly, turning from the consistency of warm gummy bears to something closer to an individually wrapped Twizzler you forgot in the bottom of your purse.
My bed with fresh clean sheets on it.
Really niche one: cracking the seal on a Mini Bag Plus, a system that mixes an antibiotic powder with saline for IV administration. It’s like this little tube with a satisfying crunchy bit you bend to break, and then you squeeze the saline and mix it with the powder. I have no idea why I love to do this so much, but it makes me giggle every time. I’m breaking stuff! On purpose!
Chapstick…it always has those delightfully sharp edges the first time I use one on my lips. This edge immediately is lost after that first application.
