I remebered this after Bob Hope died. In the episode I rememeber, you see a gameboard with a bunch of movie titles that you believe to be “On the road to…” movies, but some are fake, you must pick the real ones. I KNOW my description SUCKS, but please indulge me.
I’m just guessing here, but…
…is it “GREED” hosted by Chuck Woolery?
How old was the game show, and who was the host?
(There are several programs that this could be.)
DEFINITELY not Greed! It must be about 25 years old by now. I would guess somebody like Bill Cullen or Wink hosted.
BTW, the gameboard was TV monitor-type screens, if it helps.
Were there teams? It sounds like it might be “Hot Potato” hosted by Bill Cullen. Teams of people with a common profession (say, firemen against chiropractors) competed against each other naming items from a list (i.e. John Travolta movies, Confederate states). The bonus round involved being presented with two choices in a category and having to select the real one of the two.
Nope, wasn’t “Hot Potato”, Was 1-on-1 IIRC, MAAAYBE the Cullen reference is throwing you. I merely mentioned it because he would’ve been hosting shows at the time.
Was it “Wipeout”?
We had a version over in the UK.
Does Geoff Edwards come to mind, by any chance?
I remember that show! Specifically, I remember a “Santa’s Reindeer” Challenge Round.
I think this is what the OP is after.
Yup, it’s “Wipeout”. I KNEW someone would know!
