Well, technically I’m in Generation Y (born in '82), but I feel too old to be lumped in with people born, say, between 1986 and 2003…and I’m too young to be lumped in with Generation X. So I just say I’m in Generation XY.
Boomer, but I’ve never really felt like one. Being born in 1957 has always made me feel like I’m just a few years late to everything.
I think it was!
I just can’t remember much of it!
Well, that does describe me.
I was born in 1962, which according to this makes me an Xer. I’ve never in my life considered myself an Xer. (Nor a boomer, really, actually.)
Well, I’m a boomer, but I think that designation should soon be changed to Generation X…LAX!
Whoo hoo! The GenXer’s are winning. Our time has come to dominate society. LET US RISE and LET THE WORLD HEAR OUR BATTLECRY!
Or maybe not…
Oh well, whatever. Nevermind…
Definitely not, if I have to download three software updates just to find out what the damn song is. Wanna just give a title, fergawdssake?
You’re very cuspy. I’m not quite as cuspy, but I sympathize.
YEAH! Right after my nap. We’re not going to be walking far, are we? My foot’s been bugging me…
Generation X, born almost the same day as the guy who wrote the book Generation X.
So where do these loaded labels come from - Strauss and Howe, Curtis LeMay, or somewhere else?
I’ve usually seen them from 1965-1980. Born in 68, I’ve always considered myself an X-er.
oh, allright. It’s Nirvana’s Nevermind.
Good call, it is kind of a long walk. And some heavy lifting. Wonder what’s on the tube…
Almost smack dab in the middle of Millenial. I can relate to very few people my age, but I think the recession will alter our outlook significantly.
Gen X, I guess… like it matters…
ETA : 1981 though, so I’m a tweener.
Messrs. Strauss and Howe.
Also there are no Greatest or Silent Generation members here?
There are some, but apparently they should have been labelled the Don’t Answer Polls Generation.
I was born in 1969. I’m too young to be a Boomer but I feel a little old for Gen X. If anything the children born in the late sixties could be considered the elders of Gen X, maybe.
There were people born in 2003? :dubious:
As defined by the poll, Gen X. However, I consider the Boomers to cover '45-'65, and by that I’m a Boomer. Born in 1961.
I certainly fit the other demographics and mindset of a Boomer over Gen X, FWIW
