I’m not seeing that covered in other news sites. I see stories about riots in 2013 and 2015. But I’m not finding anything about riots recently (at least not in English). Are you sure that story is recent?

This Swedish newspaper article seems to say that there was some rioting Monday evening in the Rinkeby district of Stockholm, involving maybe 30-40 people, due to resentment over a drug bust. According to Google Translate:

In both cases, the rioting has spoken about 30-40 people who attended, but it’s pretty hard to calculate when it’s dark outside and moving around, says Lars Bystrom, spokesperson for the police in Stockholm.

Seven or eight cars have been set on fire and several smaller shops have been broken. […]

According to Aftonbladet moved the ursprunliga intervention a drug case when a wanted person was arrested. In connection with the arrest, the police have been told that “there would be riots because someone caught earlier in the day”

Shortly thereafter, attacked the police patrol of a larger gang of stone-throwing youths.

When another police patrol came to the rescue were also attacked the patrol with stones.

Monday night, the police force together with a larger number of police officers had to stay overtime to respond to the unrest. Also, additional staff has been called in, according to Aftonbladet data.

For comparison, bear in mind that the Berkeley riots earlier this month are claimed to have involved maybe 150 masked agitators breaking windows and hurling Molotov cocktails. Not to make light of violence, and I strongly denounce such violent hooliganism in the name of “protest” whether it’s in the US or in Sweden. But I think it’s absurd to suggest that either one of these incidents indicates a country “having problems like they never thought possible” or in the grip of terror attacks.

Certainly, rioting by stone-throwing youths is something with which urban Sweden is very familiar, going back well before the current refugee situation:

The girl fetched her father who armed himself with a baseball bat. When the fight got out of hand, the police were called and three of the boys were arrested. The friends of the arrested try to free them and threw rocks at the police. The police then called for backup which led to extensive riots involving a large number of people. The violence ended with people firing automatic weapons at the police station in Södertälje, which was in revenge for the arrest of the three young people.

I am going out on a limb and say that biker gangs is one place where you won’t find refugees.

I’m still dealing with the concept of the USA - a country, even countries built on immigration, some of it even voluntary - has something to learn on immigration from a place more used to exporting Vikings. This is a relatively new game for Swedes, at least on any scale. The USA has around 200 years advantage.

I think the perspective in general is that immigrants are not anymore dangerous than the native population when it comes to crimes across the spectrum. Some studies even show that immigrants are somewhat less likely to commit crimes.

No, not a claim I made either.
