Spicer mentioned Atlanta three different times.
1/29 On ABC’s “This Week”:
“What do we say to the family who loses somebody over a terroristic (sic) – to whether it’s Atlanta or San Bernardino or the Boston bomber? Those people, each of whom had gone out to a country and then come back,” Spicer said.
1/30 on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”:
“There was a very short period of time in which we had something to execute that ensured that the people of the United States were safe. Everybody’s been protected,” Spicer said. “What happened if we didn’t act and somebody was killed? … Too many of these cases that have happened – whether you’re talking about San Bernardino, Atlanta … Boston … would you wait until you do? The answer is we act now to protect the future.”
Spicer’s 1/30 press briefing:
and we’re reviewing the entire process over this period of time to make sure that we do this right. But I don’t think you have to look any further than the families of the Boston Marathon, in Atlanta, in San Bernardino to ask if we can go further."
Atlanta? What’s he talking about?
FBI Special Agent in Charge Steve LeValley also said there has not been an Islamist terror attack in Atlanta. He said the last terror attack of any sort in Atlanta was in 1997, when a lesbian club was bombed. Rudolph, the Olympic Park bomber, also pleaded guilty to that attack.
If we don’t want any repeats, I suppose we’ll need to deport abortion opponents.
You’ll want a different nick for Lyin’ Sean. Spice Weasel is a poster here.

Damn. I know I heard it on Futurama. I forgot about the poster here. Maybe a mod can change it to Spicer. It was kind of juvenile anyway.
I reported my post with a request to change it.

I think he means Orlando, but to repeat it twice? Nobody told him before then?
Well, General al-Sherman burned the place to the ground. I mean, he must have been with ISIS, right? Or maybe he was al-Qaeda.
Anyway, I guess those of us down here in Atlanta should check in.
I was killed. Very, very badly killed. Sad!

These kinds of repeated mistakes are an indication of probable canned talking points. People are just parroting what they’ve been handed. It becomes obvious when the PR firm makes a mistake.

I prefer to call him the Minister of Truth.
Kellyanne, meanwhile, is the Minister of Agitprop.
Are we sure he doesn’t mean Atlantis ?
It’s in the same alternate reality.

Take a moment today to remember those who died at the hands of Al Qaeda in the Johstown Flood. Sad!
Clearly now that making up terrorists attacks isn’t working, they’ll just straight up stage some for us.
They don’t get the benefit of the doubt anymore: This is straight up fascist. They’re planting seeds of doubt about the validity of the press and the safety of the country, to make the populace afraid and confused. Most, even if they realize this is bullshit, will still leave with a vague feeling of “there’s terrorists all around me, in all the major cities.”

I’d say don’t give Bannon any ideas, but I would hardly be surprised if he was already doing so.

I’m going with Baghdad Bob and Baghdad Barb.
I’ve seen Propaganda Barbie for Kellyanne.
I’m guessing that Bannon is familiar with the Reichstag Fire.
I have a mental image of a couple of minions in the office where the talking points memos are drafted:
(after Lyin’ Spice goes on TV and parrots the talking point as written)
“Pay up, Mortimer, I’ve won the bet.”
“Here. One dollar.”
That doesn’t make sense either. The Orlando shooter was born in the U.S. An immigration ban would not have helped.
