Trump displayed his ability to get right to the point when asked about anti-Semitism in the U.S… This President can think on his feet like no other. Simply amazing.
Given the content of the link, I assume this is sarcasm.
Now who can argue with that? I think we’re all indebted to President Trump for clearly stating what needed to be said. I’m particularly glad that these lovely children were here today to hear that speech. Not only was it authentic political gibberish, it expressed a courage little seen in this day and age.
Safe assumption for any “praise” of this asshole during the next 1 to 4 years.
Trump makes Gene Hackman’s character in The Birdcage, Senator Keeley, seem like John F. Kennedy by comparison.
He answers questions like a 5th grader doing an oral book report on a book he never bothered to read.
With apologies to all 5th graders; I’m certain you could bullshit your way through that Israel question worlds better than Our Great Leader just did.
Good. God. What have we done?
He apparently has nothing else on his mind besides himself.
“What are your thoughts on Russian jets buzzing an American destroyer in the Black Sea, Mr. President?”
“I have tremendous supporters, just tremendous. And this hatred out there-- so bad, so bad. I don’t understand, such hatred of me. The press. Such hatred. I’m a great guy. People know this of me.”
“What has been Stephen Bannon’s role in drafting your executive orders?”
“My hotels, by the way, are beautiful. Beautiful. People are amazed when they first walk in. I get such compliments on them everywhere I go. World class amenities.”
“Mr. President, can you clarify your statement on the Holocaust?”
“I have done such amazing things since taking office. The dishonest media hasn’t been fair in their reporting of me. Very disgraceful. I have done amazing things, and the American people know this. You people in the media are terrible, just terrible.”
“Have you zeen ze remote, Donald?”
“We won with so many electoral votes. People couldn’t believe. I have a tremendous amount of support from Americans. Tremendous, yuge. Just yuge. No one’s seen anything like our electoral votes, like, ever.”
It looked like the first crack to me; he’s being beaten down in every direction.
Everything is fake. Pressure beginning to tell on the President personally …
Date: Feb 16th.
I’m going to assume you spotted my own cinematic reference…
He’s rattled. No question. It’s like the Bismark, alone and under attack from all directions.
What do you mean, ‘we’?
I was over here.

Well it is One Nation Under God. So they say.
That god just happens to be Cthulu.
I laughed.
He’s going to try and corral the hippy vote! All this talk about peace, love and understanding. Far out! Groovy! Gotta say, a diet of brown rice and veggies would do him a world of good!
Blazing Saddles? :dubious:
Well, he’s no Gabby Johnson but he tries, bless him.
This is about the 30th “answer” I’ve seen from Trump where he starts off by talking about the election results. In several of them he references the need to “get to 51”, by which I assume he means 51% of the vote, although he seems to have gotten away from that line recently.
I think it really disturbs him that he lost the popular vote, he’s constantly in need of reassuring himself that he won.
I was in the car, and NPR was airing a live speech/press conference. Listening to him, I thought what a hard job comics must have parodying him, because the entire thing was so ridiculous.
Announcing a new proposed Sec of Labor, he said (not exact quote but close) “He went to Harvard where he was a great student.” Seriously?
“Never before has an incoming administration had as tremendous success as his.” As though the use of words like “great” and “tremendous” precludes any specifics.
Went on at length at the “mess” he inherited - on all fronts domestic and foreign.
And he welcomed the opportunity to speak directly to “the people”, as the press is “so dishonest.” He went on about the press for what seemed like several minutes.
My ride ended before it got to the question part. Tho I did get to hear one “Bigly.”
Seriously - how you you satirize this guy? Wouldn’t satirizing him require presenting him as thoughtful and well-spoken?
