Two men from Iraq, legal immigrants, lived in Bowling Green, Kentucky and were arrested for planning to send money and weapons to Iraq.
One of the men was tied via fingerprint to an IED that had been used in Iraq.
The fair conclusion: immigration screening had a hole; the man should not have been admitted when his fingerprint was known to be associated with an IED used in Iraq. The crazy conclusion: there was a massacre in Bowling Green
I remember that massacre. It was after thousands of Muslims cheered in the streets on 9/11, but before Hillary Clinton was caught molesting children in a pizza restaurant.
Frederick Douglass did an amazing job, by the way. So we have that as consolation.
A different fair conclusion: the security systems we had in place at the time were sufficient to keep these two from committing the Bowling Green Massacre in Iraq as they’d planned. Our systems are redundant, so that a hole in one level can get caught at another level.
A different fair conclusion: there was a confidential informant who alerted the FBI to these dudes’ murderous intents. It’s a pretty great bet that this CI was a member of the Iraqi immigrant community, who trusted the FBI enough to let them know what’s going on. A policy that welcomes immigrants and makes them feel part of the American Experiment is going to keep us safer than one that treats immigrants as the enemy.
It was terrible. These two Iraqis - never played the game before - came out of nowhere and destroyed the local bowls team with an electrifying tour de force performance of bravura and finesse. Never forget.
Yeah, Conway’s actually correct on this one. Cincinnati massacred Bowling Green late last year and the MSM, outside of the Ohio Valley said nothing. Sad!
Each of these, and many others, are fair and arguable. I’d give her a pass for hyperbole if she’d said, “. . . .and prevented what we’d probably be calling the Bowling Green Massacre by now.”
The transformation of the Massacre from the subjunctive to the past is beyond anything not fueled by either LSD or INCOMPETENCE.
Or malevolence. She could just throw something like that out there, knowing it’s not true, to create doubt and chaos among the people who are already suspicious of the media.
KAC knows exactly what she’s doing when she spouts these lies. All she has to do is wrinkle her nose, say “massacre”, and poof! She just invented a new alternative fact for Breitbart readers.
She intentionally phrased it in a way that would make the media lose their mind and have everyone googling today.
She wasn’t refering to an incident that happened, but to one that was thwarted. They caught the 2 little pieces of garbage before they could do anything. But there was little to no media coverage.
And now everybody knows that Iraqi refugees were here intending to cause harm.
She is privy to information that the average Che lover is not:
Documents filed by the United States describe in detail the material support activities of the men in Bowling Green. Without Hammadi present, Alwan loaded money and weapons he believed were being sent to Iraq on five occasions from September 2010 through February 2011, handling five rocket-propelled grenade launchers, five machine guns, two sniper rifles, two cases of C4 explosive and what he believed to be $375,000. After Hammadi joined Alwan in January 2011, the two men loaded money and weapons together on five occasions from January to May 2011. Together, on these five occasions, they loaded five rocket-propelled grenade launchers, five machine guns, five cases of C4 explosive, two sniper rifles, one box of 12 hand grenades, two Stinger surface-to-air missile launchers and what they believed to be a total of $565,000. Alwan and Hammadi were recorded by video during these operations.
