So the show has been on a hiatus for going on three weeks now- what gives? First it was for some awards show (Grammys?), it was aired, then The Oscars, then that Oprah movie, now…?
Any idea when the show is coming back? Is the season over? Am I completely oblivious? *

ABC is waiting for March to end. Same thing with “Lost”

Yup, sweeps gets my vote.
And I’m much happier to see an episode of Boston Legal finally airing last night. That had two weeks off along with Desperate Housewives (Oscars and Oprah’s “Their Eyes Were Watching Another Channel”).
During that new show last night they said it’d be returning next week. I think. Maybe it was the week after.
This coming Sunday is a repeat. Sunday the 27th is a new episode. You can find where I reposted the synopsys from tvguide.com here (seems we have 2 threads going on this right now).

abc was hedging, they weren’t sure how well the show would do, so they scheduled “interuptions” in case the show bombed. the show didn’t bomb and abc is left with a 6 week break between episodes.
