What happened to my Iphone Applications?

I let my iphone do a regular sync with my computer today. When I then turned on the phone I see that I am missing about 80 of my applications, about half of which were paid applications. I had not changed any settings on my phone or computer before the sync.

I then went to my iphone applications screen on the computer and saw that the applications are missing there as well. I went to the applications screen under iphone thinking I would just re-enable all the deleted applications there. They are all gone from the list. I am also missing my podcasts.

Does anybody know what it going on and how to get the applications back? I did an internet seach without finding anything useful and I don’t think Steve Jobs will return my call.

Give them a call. Their should be records of the apps you have paid for.

Happened to me too for some, but not all of my apps.

I think I solved it, by just re-adding the app folder to my iTunes library. I can’t remember where the folder is, sorry, got a dodgy half-german half-english setup of Vista…

NB

You should be able to redownload any apps you’ve paid for, it’ll have a record that your account owns them.

Thanks for the responses so far. I do not know where the app folder is. I tried de-authorize and re-authorizing my computer which someone else suggested, but that did not work. I guess I will phone apple, but I look forward to speaking to them about as much as going to the dentist.

I do not like Apple’s Itune software. It hides too much information from me, and I really don’t know how to manage my music with it. What is wrong with a simple directory structure? If I get the new Iphone will I be able to transfer my applications?
