It just occured to me: Its been almost a week since the anthrax reportings. Did they idiot stop mailing them? Did he himself (ok, s/herself) get anthrax and die a horrible death? Did the quarantining actually work?
Or am I totally out of touch with the news?
Well, most of the folks who caught it got better and went home. No recent mailings, although they’re finding tainted mail-handling machines right and left in the DC and NY areas - no big surprise there.
So, nothing much that the news folks are willing to lead into a broadcast with.
This AP story from the 14[sup]th[/sup] says that the feds suspect that there’s at another tainted letter lost in the system, and they’re preparing to sort through the mail that’s been held-up to find it.
As for why there aren’t any more showing up, maybe whoever was responsible realized that it’s unspeakably evil to deliberately send fatal pathogens out into the world.
(It could happen.)

Okay, okay, whoever it was probably didn’t have much left after sending the most of it to the Sentate.
Well, another suspected letter has turned up in the Senate. Same postmark as the others and evidently the same handwriting.
