I counted 9-10 packets the judge flipped.
oh, me too. Thank goodness for my vape.
The reporting is 10 indictments, but they aren’t unsealed yet.
Judge signed and gave them back to the clerk, and said good luck for the rest of the evening.
NYT: “On top of the large stack of papers that was brought to the clerk’s office and then into the courtroom was one that said, in part, “Certification that grand jury indictments returned.””
Ten indictments. Love it!
Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day.
So when is it announced what it really is?
I thought they said we wouldn’t hear the indictment read, but that the people being charged would be released. But he just signed it and said good night.
The inadvertently leaked charge document listed 13 charges, so it sounds like not all were approved. I sure as hell hope the RICO charge is one of them – it’s the only one among the 13 felonies categorized as “serious felony”.
It could still happen tonight, if either 1) the clerk publishes the indictment on the docket; and/or 2) Willis issues a press statement.
NYT: “After a long day of the grand jurors hearing evidence, the full indictment is expected to be released later in the evening.”
So it sounds like DA Willis got every indictment she presented. There were no refusals by the grand jury to indict.
MSNBC just said that there were no “true bills”, which means all charges were approved.
Maybe each indictment has multiple charges, and there are 10 defendants. That would be sweet.
I’m wondering if Mark Meadows will be indicted. If not, he cut a deal, because he was deep into this.
NYT: “The clerk of the Fulton County Superior Court has returned to her office with the documents. She said that “worst case,” it’ll be three hours until copies are made public.”
Yes, this is how it will happen. Each indictment pertains to a particular defendant or group of defendants, and each will contain specific charges.
Ah, thank you. If the grand jury approved all proposed charges, tomorrow will indeed be an interesting day, maybe in more ways than one. The Great Orange Twuther may just twuth himself into contempt of court.
Wow, oh what a night. Sounds like midnightish, unless Willis decides to speak before then.
I counted the clumps as the judge flipped. They were rather thick, it looked like 1/4 inch of paper per clump.
Sounds like this grand jury is over.
They did already approve all proposed charges. They did not refuse a single proposed charge that the People asked for.
I think you mean that there were no “no true bills” meaning rhat the Grand Jury did not reject any charges
