What happens if you cant pick your nose?

I’m laughing my head off right now. I can’t imagine shoving my fingers up someone else’s nose unless there was a darned good reason. We would do care such as wiping the nose if it was running or if the patient had an NG tube we would take care of the area. Just care around the nose. I’ve never thought about it before, but I imagine that those who said it all takes care of itself have it right.

LOL, benson, I didn’t think you used your fingers! I was thinking something alsong the lines of those big glycerin swabs you use to clean mouths (but drier?). But I guess you don’t do that? Another misconception eradicated!

Guess you’ll need another dream job, Ukelele Ike.

LOL Well we really don’t deal with inside the nose. I guess we could if a patient asked us to but I don’t see myself doing that anytime soon. We could use a tooth swab I guess but I doubt it would get the job done.

You can’t pick your friends, either?

I can confirm this, even though anyone who’s lived around cows will tell you to better watch out for what’s going on at the other end.

Let’s not forget those Okapis, using their tongue not only to wipe their nostrils, but also to clean their ears.

Or our toy poodles, for whom mad cleaning sessions involving tongues all over and inside ears was not only the practice of good canine hygiene but also a way of establishing hierarchy within the pack. Dog ear wax is funky.
