Last night while partaking in some of the festivities of New Year’s eve and I have done some very painful to my hip.
I was really dancing the night away at 11:40 when I moving my hips side to side and when one of the times I moved to my left, I felt a knife go into me 3 inches below my waist on my left side. My knees buckled but somehow stayed upright. I apologized to my dance partner and went to sit down. After sitting for 10 minutes, I managed to get up and walk around albeit with pain. I loaded up on advil, stopped drinking and manage to mingle for 45 minutes to wish happy new year to everyone at the party and went home. I am ambulatory this morning but it still hurts like hell.
Dr’s visit today is not practical and I will try to schedule one tomorrow. I don’t think this warrants an emergency room vist.
I think I have pulled a muscle as the pain is not limited to one spot, it radiates 3 inches down and three inches up for the spot where I think the “knife impaled” me. Could this be a hip-pointer? or something else? Is there anything a Dr could do for this injury? Beside giving me some pain medication.
