The reason I never clean my desk is that I value my sanity too much to spend 20 hours sorting loose beads into their containers. Yeah, yeah, I could just tidy up when i finish something… whatever.
I forgot some stuff.

26. Computer speakers
27. Random pieces of ribbon
28. Pencil

Christ, how big are your desks??
Anyway, an electric stapler, computer monitor, 4 cube speakers, a galileo thermometer, a sound-activated plasma ball, lamp, bar cloth, coke cans with pens in it, a couple of calculators and a couple of tubes of CD-R’s.
Computer monitor, hard drive, and keyboard are all on the desktop. The monitor is sitting on a crate. This leaves no room for anything else. On top of the hard drive are my little webcam type thingy, one of the speakers, and a rubber duckie. On top of the monitor are the other speaker and Dwight D. Eisenhower. The mouse is on a little pull-out thing on one side. The desk was my great-grandmother’s and was made back in the '20s. I don’t know what the little pull-out thing was for when they made it, but now it’s incredibly useful because if it wasn’t there I wouldn’t have anyplace to put my mouse.
The computer I use most often is my mom’s, and this desk has the monitor, speakers, scanner, a tape dispenser that is actually mine and she stole it, a box of floppies, a stack of CD-Roms, a container of CDRs, a joystick, a sheet of Mr. Yuck stickers, the mouse, a plastic container of notepaper, a shoebox full of paperwork, an LED flashlight, the phone book, some stamps, two pens, a hair scrunchie, photogrphas of the dogs and my older sister, eight pug figurines, an orange glass vase shaped like a tongue of flame that I was going to sell on eBay but my mom won’t give me her credit card number so I can set up the seller’s account (even though I was setting up the account at her request), a sheet of paper with a list of Jeeps I want to look at for possible purchase, and a copy of Zoot Suit Riot by the Cherry Poppin’ Daddies.
Much too much. Rather than try to list them all, I’ll instead post a picture of what my desk looked like last October. I’m in a new cube now, but all the crap is here, too.

at my desk at my old job at Major Big Suckwad Inc. , I had a 12" section of a rear motorcycle tire with a 14" rusty spike stuck through it that i picked up in a race once. I rode about 16 miles with that mother lover in the tire. always good for a conversation starter…
She said she loved me like a brother. That’s great, cause she’s from Arkansas!
