Gest was responding to your “care to keep this going” remark. It’s a bit silly to now say “I’m not getting into this, you’ll have to find a fight elsewhere”.
It’s getting a bit silly no matter what happens. Over a dozen posts since anybody mentioned our hero of the thread title and I’m sad to say I’ve contributed about half the ensuing crap. My apologies to Seeking Truth and belated recognition that he did indeed concede that he was wrong and in short order too.
Funny how a bottle of ouzo in the meantime has made me all conciliatory. I might have to moderate my views on the evils of the demon drink.
Fair enough. You can’t be expected to know all the details. It’s not as if you’re the head of the “President’s principal forum for considering national security and foreign policy matters”, or anything.
