A short biography of Richard Dawson.
Is it ok to say – “a man with most of his teeth and who weighs less than 300 lbs?” New here.
A while back I searched the web for information about what foods a person with gout should not eat.
I found a lot of lists, but none very complete. That is, they all would list some things, like venison, but then some lists would include things that other lists left off, and vice versa.
I guess what I’d like is a definitive listing of the quantity of purines in a wide range of foods similar to the listings of grams of fat, calories, etc, per measure that one finds everywhere.
I haven’t been able to find a place that sells Tom Cruise masks. I may end up printing a picture on cardboard and gluing on popscile sticks.
Ah, that one I do know! Most of it, anyway…
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the burning of the school,
We have tortured every teacher, we have broken every rule,
We’ve prosecuted the principal, we’ve executed the nurse (?)
And our truth is marching on.
Glory, glory hallelujah,
My teacher hit me with a ruler
'Cause I put her in the attic with the German automatic
And my teacher don’t teach no more.
I wonnnnnnderrrrr whyyyy…
Thanks, Fretful – we never did know those last two lines. Now I’ll have something to share at my 40th reunion in 2003!
I remembered a couple of alternate lines in the Fritz song:
My country’s tired of me
I’m going to Germany
To see the King
He eats his sauerkraut
They make his ears stick out
On every mountaintop
Let sauerkraut sprout
Besides on E-bay, I haven’t been able to find any pictures of the original Robotman & Friends, or the Mini-Pops.
Pity.
The King of Glory?
If you want, I can look it up-we have one of our Church’s hymnal’s at home…
Today I was looking for these trees that grow in the South (like South Carolina) that have really wispy, droopy leaves. Almost like droopy white wispy hair. I saw them in the film “The Patriot” last night. (I have a thing about trees.)
I was able to find pictures of the cypress trees, the bottom-heavy trees that can grow in swamp water, but none of the wispy-droopy-foilaged trees. I guess I didn’t look hard enough, but I got tired.

Those help?
I haven’t found a decent regular American Dictionary.
The Merriam-Webster College one is the pits.
Some of the bigger ones, like the Oxford English Dictionary want $100’s per year to get at PART of their listings.
Some of the ones you find are so old they are out of copyright.
Maybe it’s not the best, I don’t know, but I like using this site because it searches several dictionaries with one search…
I think you are referring to Spanish Moss, which grows in trees in the South. Try searching on that.
Gosh, I’ve been stumped.
Despite all my efforts I haven’t been able to find any information on Star Trek or pictures of pretty girls.
When, oh when, will the internet finally come through for me?
I’d like to know how to write to a famous person and get that letter read. It’s obvious that people like Steven King, Arthur C. Clarke, Germain Greer etc get too much mail to deal with themselves but it’s realistic to believe they have secretaries who filter it and hand on a limited amount. An Ask Me site somewhere suggested requesting writers’ publishers to forward letters but that advice was judged by people who had tried it to be ineffective. If you’re looking for postal addresses rather than e-mail addresses where do you go?
http://www.iwon.com provided the following hits with the inquiry, “celebrity addresses”
http://www.springrose.com/celebrity/
http://www.addresses.site2go.com/
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Hills/9842/table.html
(Apparently this guy has actually written to, and received autographs in response from, every celebrity address listed on his site - and there are thousands of them.)

There are LOTS more. I’ll leave it to you to find them on your own.
Shayna: I just don’t want to write to Morgan Fairchild, or Tori Spelling. If I did your advice would be right on the mark.
Her name is Vitina Marcus.
Here’s the episode guide where I found her, and here’s her IMDB listing.
Of course! I’m sure that’s it! Thanks so much. I have heard of Spanish Moss (of course) but this just didn’t look like Spanish Moss. Not that I’ve seen Spanish Moss like that in L.A. Or anywhere. Or maybe I’ve just not been paying attention…
