What ho!

Hello, Bertram W. here. Been lurking round these parts for rather a bit (2 years or so), and I finally decided I ought to put in a bit towards the cost of the thing.

Who is Bertie? Well, I do a bit of librarianing in a community college in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Read quite a bit. Middle-aged bachelor. Motorcyclist, but for transport reasons rather than sport. Keep considering adopting a cat, but never do (rather a big commitment; don’t always remember to water the houseplants). As you might guess, quite fond of Wodehouse. Also other things, but they’ll come out when and if I post here and there.

That’s about it. Bring on the goat.

Well, well…it’s been a long time since the goat appeared! I’m absolutely sure Kytheria will be along soon with your helmet…now just come along these steps…don’t be afraid…

Here I am with the usual offer of a margarita (take it - you’ll need it) and a reminder not to step on the cats. There seem to be quite a few of them around here…

Welcome! Excellent username!

Wait a minute…I think **Bertie **is just a little *too *eager when it comes to goats…

Do we still have any squid?

No, but I’ve a lovely recipe for cucumber sandwiches. Aunt Agatha, herself, said they were splendid.

Well, you know about those librarian types…
Good to see another one of us on board.

What is this goat reference I keep hearing about? I hope its not some sort of initiation thing, 'cause I’m legally required to keep a minimum distance of 100 meters from any goat/sheep.

It’s OK, we’ve seen cases like yours.
**Bring out the llama ! **

Do you mean RALPH" The Wonder Llama or
EARL J. LLAMA & MIKE Q. LLAMA III & SY LLAMA & MERLE Z. LLAMA IX
or 40 SPECIALLY TRAINED ECUADORIAN MOUNTAIN LLAMAS, Maybe 6 VENEZUELAN RED LLAMAS and 142 MEXICAN WHOOPING LLAMAS.
Hopefully not the 14 NORTH CHILEAN GUANACOS (CLOSELY RELATED TO THE LLAMA)

Welcome out of the Lurkness **Bertie Wooster & Spidey. **

Jim

Love the goooooogle ads – Wodehouse novels for iPod plus goat cheese.

I was thinking more of Alfie the alpaga

Link didn’t work.

Try this one : http://www.gdargaud.net/Climbing/Ecuador/Alpaga.jpg

I believe that Jeeves took the goat to the groomers.

I suggest you go to room 4 and wait.

Hello! Jolly good show on the Wodehouse, old bean! I say, I say, welcome and all that.

Okay, who hid the trebuchet? I’ve been through all the apropreately sized closets, but it’s not in any of them.

Well, if Jeeves has the goat in hand, no doubt it’s for the best. He eats a lot of fish, you know. Very brainy. Good to know there’s a few other Wodehousians and librarians about. Well, I’ve posted about a bit in a fit of newness, but most likely will submerge just under the waterline.

Tinkerty-tonk!

Perhaps Hal has a sheep he could spare.

I could always round up another … :: looks around nervously :: squck … if Bertie turns out to be a hard case.

Welcome, Bertie! Hope your socks aren’t too loud. Toddle on down to Twing Hall for us, won’t you good chap? I haven’t been there in a frightfully long time. And do give Claude and Eustace my regards!
