I guess you’ve heard about Galvani and his wonderful jumping-frog experiments. And you’ve heard of Professor Volta at Pavia U. Now Volta’s claiming that he has a machine to produce electricity, and people are saying they can create ‘servants’ that will respond to it!
Why are those fools at the Royal Society even tolerating this blasphemy? Is not the spark of life the sole province of the Almighty?
