What if women ruled the world?

I think we would all be better off. Certain qualities they have I believe would lead to more world peace than compared to the idiot men we have in there now.

Think about this, would the wars we have going on right now actually exist if women were the primary force. Talking from the President all the way down to soldiers. My guess would be no.

IME, women simply aren’t wired that way as to be violent like men are. But other than that, they are as capable in every way as a man. There are as many intelligent, decisive women out there capable to do the job as men.

Thoughts?

Right…'cause Boudica was such a pacifist. And Gandhi was such a violent bastard.

Seriously, no I don’t think it would be any better at all. Think about it a little more. Office politics in all-women offices are brutal. Female animals protecting their young are far more dangerous than males. Gender is no determinate of leadership ability, and I say that as a proud woman and feminist. We’d screw it up just as badly as men.

Women aren’t less inclined to be violent when other people are the ones doing the actual dirty work. Women have always encouraged male violence (“Come back with your shield or on it”). And convincing yourself that female leaders are less violent is the sort of thing that leads to a Margaret Thatcher having bombs dropped on you.

What a load of sexist bullshit.

You are seriously arguing that women can not and should not be in the military “from the President all the way down to soldiers” because they are incapable of defending the country due to the fact that “women simply aren’t wired that way as to be violent like men are”.

Holy shit. I am amazed that this degree of sexism exists in the 21st Century.

If women ruled the world, then car dealerships would segregate cars by color, not by model or features. It would be a capital offense to leave the toilet seat up.

The world would be just as fucked up and violent as it is now. Workplaces would probally be a bit more family friendly.

Rudyard Kipling’s perspective.

Either moronic misandrist bullshit or extreme sarcasm.

Woah. Do I feel like an ignorant ass or what? I had no idea that famous phrase was from a Kipling poem! :smack:

“A lot of fat, happy women, and no crime”
Andy McDowell’s character in “Sex, Lies and Videotape”

Ms. President, this is England, why am I being invaded?
“Oh, I think you know why”
Drew Carey’s standup act

Well, he also noted that “a woman is only a woman, but a good cigar is a smoke.” :stuck_out_tongue:

My thoughts exactly.

Or maybe perhaps it is just plain trolling a la the government should directly employ all unemployed guy.

I was about to say this exact same thing. Seems someone else plays Civ IV.

Thanks for that; I’d forgotten how much I love that one!

First off, I’m a guy myself so I don’t know where some of you are getting off saying this sexist, moronic, bullshit, or even trolling. I wonder how many of you criticized me so harshly are men?

My post was meant to compliment women because I think in actuality they would do a better job. It’s obvious to everyone that the people in charge aren’t doing that great of a job. How many of you clamor out there for change? I certainly feel that if women held more positions in higher authority we would have a lot better change.

Der Trish, I see your point, but what if the military was comprised of mostly women? Almost doesn’t make sense right?

And if your aunt had balls, she’d be your uncle.

Sub-Saharan Africa is what the world looks like when women rule.

No they would not. That women inherently would do a better job is sexist. Similarly there are some blacks who do think they are inferior to whites-similarly you’re a self-hating man victimized by radical feminism.

It should be noted all the great civilizations of the world were largely patricarchal while most matricarchal societies are savages.

Accusations of trolling are prohibited outside the BBQ Pit. You are out of line.

Beyond that, while I disagree with the OP, it is not as though it is an opinion that no one else shares.

This is a personal attack–and a stupid one.

Knock it off.
