What is a "Sydneysider"?

WAG: resider, as in resides there. Sydney Resider > Sydneysider.

But I totally made that up in my own head, and did no research to see if it is even a possibility

These are terms more usually used for people from the relevant states rather than capital cities. So a Brisbanite is a Banana Bender but a Banana Bender is not necessarily from Brisbane.

Plus we are not Brisbanites, we are Brisvegans.

People from Bangkok are Bangkokians. Really.

Harumphf … It is pronounced New South Welshman, if you would please. Now I must go and shake my fist at the north.

Like always, us Taswegians have been left off the map! I’d have a rant about it, but one of my heads is telling me I might come across as more of a Tasmaniac!

At least you aren’t Van Diemen’s Landers.

D’oh! And I knew that one, too.

Hmm - Tynesider, Humbersider. English terms that don’t seem to have made it across the Atlantic, but perhaps influenced the Antipodes?

I have been looking for a map of tasmania, any advice?

Try here.

Thanks, just what I wanted.
