What is being on ecstasy like?

Quoted for truth. The day after an ecstasy experience is generally marked by lethargy and even depression. Among recreational users, you often hear people talk of being “ate up” after a night of partying, which is a euphemism for feeling like shit.

After that rush of serotonin comes an extreme absence of it, which usually causes depression. Sometimes that depression can be pretty severe, leading to more and escalating drug use to counterthe crashes.

Oh, that’s no good. Puts the kibish in my “find a willing feline and/or supermodel to do E with” plan.

IME, not the day after - apart from the effects of being up all night dancing - but a couple of days later is when the low mood came in. Usually the Tuesday after a Saturday on the pills.

Some people don’t get MDMA comedowns, it varies a lot from person to person and on the dose you did. It’s exponentially worse if you drink alcohol whilst on dropping, or mix it with weed (not sure why you would mix it with weed, anyway).

I’ve heard some people take 5-HTP after the X is worked out of their system to help reduce the duration of the down period after the drug. No idea how effective it is.

There are sooo many drugs out there, it sucks many people are stuck with just a handful to try.

It’s like mild LSD and really good speed, it makes you feel great! What we used to call a good body stone. Combine incredible energy, a complete lack of pain, intense visual and auditory perception, and a sense of transcendent realization. Now, in my day X was called The Love Drug, but crank, coke, and hallucinogenics all intensify the sensation of sex. As a man I would say the pleasurable sensations felt in the whole complex of penis and prostate are increased 10 fold while at the same time orgasm is delayed and your whole heightened sense perception is completely dominated by what you’re feeling. And of course when you’re really stoned the sensation of wetness on your skin is indescribable. A friend of mine described the whole experience of sex on drugs as “purple haze.”
And the hangover ain’t nearly so bad as ones I’ve had after fighting a bottle of Jack all night.

The Rabbit

A little rabbit is happily running through the forest when he stumbles upon a giraffe rolling a joint. The rabbit looks at her and says, “Giraffe, my friend, think about what you’re doing to yourself! Come with me running through the forest, you’ll see, you’ll feel so much better!” The giraffe looks at him, looks at the joint, tosses it and goes off running with the rabbit.

Then they come across an elephant doing coke. So the rabbit again says, “Elephant my friend, why do you do this? Think about what you’re doing to yourself! Come running with us through the pretty forest, you’ll see, you’ll feel so good!’ The elephant looks at them, looks at his razor, mirror and all, then tosses them and starts running with the rabbit and giraffe.

The three animals then come across a lion about to shoot up some heroin. “Lion my friend, why do you do this? Think about what you’re doing to yourself! Come running with us through the sunny forest, you will feel so good!” The lion looks at him, puts down his needle, and starts to beat the shit out of the little rabbit.

The giraffe and elephant watch in horror, then finally obtain the presence of mind to pull the lion off the rabbit. “Lion,” they reprimand, “why did you do this? He was merely trying to help us all!” The lion answers, “That little fucker has me running around the forest like an idiot for hours every time he’s on ecstasy!”

Kind of. I guess. But mostly not.

As stated, usually a couple of days. The day after is mostly lack of sleep. I know I find the aftermath far easier to deal with than a hangover. Maybe becuase…

…not all of us…errr…you experience the mid-week crash.

If only I could do all these drugs and not die.
