Grillo received the largest portion of votes for something - true. But he is ineligible to hold office due to his earning a manslaughter conviction(s) in 1981 due to the deaths of three people. How is it that a man can run for office, but not hold it? Other than comedian emeritus, what is his official position he won? The media reports he could/might/has refused to form a coalition. From what occupation or non-office is he in the position to negotiate with actual elected office-holders?
He’s leader of the Five Star Party, which isn’t a public office. So far as I know, he hasn’t run for anything himself, its other party members that actually hold seats in the legislature.
