What is considered 'A Bad Customer' (and have you ever been one)?

She really is missing her calling. She should team up with someone named Cash and be buddy cops.

Yeah, the poor guy probably just wanted a Pepsi.

Stopped halfway through the wall o’ text but got the gist.

Not surprised that the OP hasn’t returned.

Bottom line? Maybe she’s a troll, maybe not. But it’s clear that there are several red flags there. And no, this board isn’t a substitute for therapy.

:p:p Now I understand the oft used phrase “you owe me a new keyboard”. This little nugget made my day.

Maybe we’ll see the other side of the story at notalwaysright.com.

Tried to read but the lack of paragraphs and the lack of brevity and succinctness killed my interest. If you are indeed a writer I’d like to know who buys your work.

There’s thuh rub, ain’a? No license, no exam, no minimum skill level ta call y’sef a writer, izzere?

Geez, it looks like this place is crawling with stupid people with no expertise and ignorant opinions, just like Yahoo.

Just like those stupid, uneducated Walmart customers who called you abusive, the stupid cashier who was on drugs, the other stupid cashiers, that lying bitch of a manager, the other stupid managers, the stupid optometrist, and all the other people going out of their way to victimize you and make you a scapegoat. And all because you were making fun of a guy who was obviously a r****d. It really looks like the whole world is crazy, except you!

I think you need to go back to writing school…or did you ever go? The OP was waaay over my tolerance limit.

Just to clarify your point, isn’t that what she she said?
Or are you saying that the OP made it personal, not the slow guy or the angry woman?

Ha!

I can recall one time I lost my patience at a restaurant.

I was working the graveyard shift covering call. I was the only person on duty. There was a Denny’s five minutes away. I called in my breakfast order for carry out. I normally could get back to the Operations Center in 12 mins.

I get there and the stupid idiots didn’t have it ready. 4 AM and not a customer in the building. They hadn’t even started cooking it yet.

I was shaking with rage. I finally told them to shove it up their ass and left.

These fools could have gotten me written up for being gone from operations too long.

I never ate at the Denny’s again. I started waiting until 5:30 AM and getting breakfast at McDonald’s. They never failed me. Pickup Breakfast in two mins and leave.

Maybe you just needed a pepsi?!

Btw, I’m in my fifties and that’s the only time I lost my shit in a business.

I’ve been frustrated other times and even bit my lip to avoid an outburst.

Those joker’s at Denny’s attitude was terrible. They seemed to think it was no big deal to have a carry out ready.

So the first mistake you flip out?
Any reason you couldn’t bring something from home so as not to risk being gone too long?

A hot breakfast & fresh coffee makes a miserable graveyard shift bearable.

I knew better than to ever trust Denny’s. The biggest screw ups in the restaurant business.

This happened early in my career in the late 1980’s.

I eventually took a pay cut and transferred out of Computing Services. Shifted to supporting HR’s staff and setup their Server. No call. Ever!

Getting out from under that stress probably saved my live. I was a heart attack waiting to happen.

That’s what I was thinking. I’d be upset, but not flip out. And there’d have to be a repeat performance (if the place previously had good service) before I’d not revisit. And even then, it’d only be that location I’d blacklist.

I have gone to other Denny’s locations.

The thread asked for a time we were rude and a bad customer.

Everybody has to be an a-hole once in their life.

I bend over backwards to be polite and patient. I realize the service industry is a tough job.

That one night the stress of my job, sleep deprivation, and frustration sent me over the edge

ive been the pain in the ass that shows up 15 minutes before closing with a 50 taco order but the management didn’t mind as me and several stoned friends spent a quite a bit

it also helped they had a 24 hr drive through so they just closed the dining room doors and I cant say for sure but I think a few joints were passed over the counter too ,

The OP made it personal by shifting from a flip comment about the “bionic man” to “he looks high - like he’s on drugs.”
