What is "Growl" and why does Firefox keep pestering me to update it?

This. You just reminded me of another shortcoming from the last time I tried Chrome. I keep a buttload of tabs open (currently 30+) and that would absolutely bog down my machine on Chrome, no issues with FireFox.

Unlike you, I made no accusations. And as my example of NotScript shows, just because an inferior Chrome extension has a similar sounding name to a FireFox extension, does NOT make it the same thing. As the author of NotScript points out, there are limitations imposed by the way Chrome implements its extensions.

The only extensions that can be argued about are nosquint and notscript. 4 out of 6 qualifies as most to me and I think anyone else which makes your assertion that chrome does not have most of these extensions either a lie or laziness. So which are you?

Why do any of you care? ::: sheesh ::::

No browser can display faster than the server can serve it. If your machine & pipe are faster than the servers, you have no way to know what is faster.

launch time of a browser on boot up? I remember all the cool kids on the SDMB said they never shut down the computer or browser, so where does launch time come in for all you tech heads?

Sounds like you all never had your fill of “Mustangs” vs “Spitfires.”

Wow. Maybe if I quote myself bolded and underlined, it’ll get through. Either way, I’m done with you, now that you’ve ramped-up your rudeness.
