I think the reason the History Channel is full of WWII stuff, all of that footage is government related and thus in the public domain - no copyright involved.

There is evidence that he had some sort of phobia about insects. From the recently unearthed dossier compiled by the Soviets, mainly based on their postwar interrogation of his aides Linge and Günsche:

A fly on the wall could send him into a rage and he would be beside himself with fury at the appearance of a harmless butterfly. Everything was done to prevent flies, midges or butterflies from coming near him. His quarters were fitted with mosquito nets, while every morning soldier-servants did the rounds with fly-swatters and killed every insect they could find. On the table there were glasses filled with honey, and fly-papers hung from the ceilings. In the corridor and outside the house there were high-powered blue lamps wrapped in wire netting designed to destroy the insects.

This may be related to a passage in the Table Talk where he describes being familiar as a child with bees, since his father kept them, but that he was then extremely badly stung on one occasion.

He was in constant fear of assassinations. As for phobias, that’ll be the jews. He wasn’t just a plain racist, he didn’t only blame the jews for everything, he really had a deep deep jew phobia thing going on, of such bizarre irrationality one suspects madness.

Cite? I read somewhere that he deliberately exiled his Jewish dentist just prior to WWII so he wouldn’t get killed.

I think you’re referring to Eduard Bloch, who was Hitler’s doctor as a boy, and treated the cancer Hitler’s mother died of. After Hitler annexed Austria, Bloch was allowed to emigrate and came to the US.
