The man is a FREAK! Scroll down to see his mug shot form the Santa Barbara County Jail. I’m not real interested in if he is guilty of the assault or not, that’s what the courts are for and it is beside my point. I just wanted to ask ya’ all if you think he *knows * he looks like that. First it was a nose job, next time I see his photo, he looks * just like * his sister, then next thing you know he looks like Diana Ross, then he looks like a middle aged white woman, now we see that he looks like an escapee from area 51. Jezus! Get a load of those pancake eyes, and that hilariously massive chin. If he has an illness, (like an anorexic who looks in the mirror and sees a perfectly healthy body, when everyone else sees a walking skeleton), and has enough money to indulge it like this, then why doesn’t somebody take him aside and say “Hay, Mikey, dude – ya’ look like a freak, why not give your plastic surgeon a rest and come talk to a psychiatrist in stead?”
Good question. I was wondering that myself. I seriously think he has a different version of reality than the rest of the world. I’m not sure if that means he’s actually crazy or not, but you can see in footage of how he acts he’s just not registering things the way “normal” people would. I’m struck especially by the footage of him hanging his kid out the window; at first it seems like “la, la, la, I think I’ll air out the kid for a few minutes” … then he suddenly snaps to attention and seems to think “Holy crap! What am I doing?!? Everyone is screaming, so this must be a bad idea!”
Re: “Michael would never do anything to hurt children.” I think he is doing something and not realising it hurts them. It’s just that simple.
Is there any kind of trouble his army of plastic surgeons can get into?
I mean, are they obligated to to try to talk patients out of ridiculous ideas? I’m thinking not only of Mike, but that woman who is turning into a cat and those women who get ridiculous boob jobs.
He is so far out of touch with reality, and has been for so long, I doubt if he even realizes what he is doing is wrong or harmful.
Sad, but I think your right. All the more reason to see a shrink. Another big curiosity that I have here is was this brought on by fame and fortune, or was he always WACO. Also how does his family react to all this weirdness, I only seem to hear of his sister, never more of his brothers from the Jackson 5, does he even have parents any more?
** * Inquiring rubber-neckers want to know! * **
crikey! anybody else do a flashback to the “big-eyed urchin” paintings (or prints or whatever the heck medium that alleged “art” consisted of) that were popular somewhere around the late '70s/early 80s??? the ones that (i think) also sometimes featured a single teardrop trickling down one cheek?
[Bart Simpson voice] can’t sleep! clowns will get me! [/Bart Simpson voice]
there may not be enough caffeine in the world to stave off the nightmares…
The paper here has the mug shot and the stats beneath it. According to that he’s 5’11" and weighs 120. Yikes.
My assesment is pretty much the same a voguevixen’s.
My fear is that the people who are in a position to pll him aside and steer him toward psychiatric help don’t because they figure, “Hey if we reallign this guys marbles he might figure out that it’s stupid to pay me $200k a year to walk his dogs.”
But really, why is this front page news? For over ten yers he’s been more notorious for being a freak than famous for his work.
I imagine he has die hard fans the way Elvis Presley did/does who will always consider him the “King of Pop” and wear silver gloves and studded leather jackets to his concerts but from an industry standpoint isn’t he more like yesterday’s news?
IMHO, Michael is a 12 year old boy in a man’s body. He doesn’t seem able to function mentally beyond early adolescence. I don’t think of him as an “adult” predator, I see him as a child himself.
Unfortunately his talent and wealth have provided him with the usual coterie of sycophants found around someone of his financial status. Too bad he’s never had someone capable of protecting him from himself. I suspect that he’s had the power to dismiss anyone who could have kept him channeled and safe.
What a shame for the boys whose lives have been damaged.
I agree with the other posters who say that they think that he truly doesn’t understand. He’s simply not capable.
In a way I do to, but I’m sure I buy all of it, for example, if his world view were so disorganized how would he be able to produce music with the kind of themes that concern adults and adult situations? Also was he (again) always like this?
Have you ever heard any songs by little boy rappers? I’m talking kids 9 to 13. They might not really understand what they’re singing, but it doesn’t make their lyrics any less “adult themed” for it.
I agree that he’s very screwed up in the head and has a skewed view of reality.
The guy has a lot of money and seems to keep “lots” of people around him all the time. From housekeepers, managers, guests, maintenance workers.
I think a lot of them are to blame if they knew something and were keeping their mouths shut. Parents leaving their kids with him, women having children for him, plastic surgeons, etc.
Seems like he was surrounded by a lot of enablers to become that wacko.
If he’s guilty and sentenced I don’t think i’d stop there. I’d go around to his closest confidants, slap em up side the head, and yell “What were you thinking!! Where were you when all this happened?? Your going down too pal!!”
I feel horribly sorry for him. NOT that he’s gotten himself into trouble re: little boys again. He’s an adult, however screwed up. Even if he could have at one point claimed “arrested development” blahblahblah. His brush with this same thing in 1993 should have been enough to keep anyone with half a brain away from the danger zone.
And as nuts as he is, he can’t be all that dumb to have the fortune and and fame that he does.
Anyway, I just feel terribly sad. He was such a cute and talented little boy. And a handsome and talented young man. And somewhere along the way, something just went really really wrong. I remember listening to Jackson 5 45’s when I was around 8, 9 and 10. At one point they were good memories, now when I hear them, I see that freakish face, and just feel sorry for him all over again.
All I’ve felt over the last several years, as he’s gotten more and more strange, is sadness for what was lost and what he could have been.
Well, I got an actual clinical diagnosis on Michael Jackson! Sort of.
Shortly after the Martin Bashir “documentary” was aired, my friends and I played a rousing game of “Diagnose Michael Jackson.” As we talked about all of his possible conditions, we realized that none of us really understood what schizophrenia was.
A few days later, I was at my bimonthly appointment with my shrink, and it occurred to me to ask him what exactly schizophrenia was. After he explained everything, he asked me why I had asked. I told him about Diagnose Michael Jackson.
Shrink: Well, I don’t see any reason to think that he is schizophrenic.
Me: I figured not.
Shrink: So what did you come up with?
Me: Well, OCD, definitely.
Shrink: Yes, that seems to be the case.
Me: Body dysmorphic disorder?
Shrink: Perhaps.
Me: Well, what do you think? You’re the psychiatrist!
He took a moment to think about it, took a deep breath, and said, “I don’t think there is a clinical term for his condition.”
Coincidence or design I can’t know, but the apparent effort to remain forever a child is just plain too close to the tale. Perhaps the monetary ability to create the world he lives in allowed the desire to take real form that never would have been without the money.
If you could afford to make your fantasies real would you? Of course I don’t remember Peter Pan snuggling up to the kids.
Oh absolutely! In fact when they were showing footage of his place on the news last night I thought to myself “that place is sweet!” He is very “Elvis-like” in that respect…Gee, didn’t Elvis also have a thing for pretty young things? (Priscilla being, what, 14 when they started “dating” or something?)
I gotta say, I don’t understand who is still buying his music these days. I was a really big fan myself when I was a kid and almost wore the wax off my “Thriller” album, but you’d think adults would be “over” him and kids would think he’s creepy and lame; yet every time there’s a major Michael Jackson release they show throngs of people camping out in front of record stores because they just can’t wait to get their hands on it! WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!
I read somewhere that they are all foreigners. I don’t know of anyone in the States who actually listens to him but overseas he seems to still have an audience. He’s a freakshow.
