What is that green melon that comes in chunks?

If they are so great, why aren’t they grown more widely? Is there some type of special soil in the area, like Vidalia onions?

That’s a good question. I really don’t know if it’s the soil or simply a special variety. Interestingly, the same area also produces wonderfully sweet Silver Queen corn. I’ve become so spoiled by it that I wait until September for my first ears of corn each year, because anything else just doesn’t compare. :cool:
