It has concrete overpasses and very few buildings. I’ve seen it in many car commercials, it was also used in “Fast and Furious”, “American Graffitti”, and “Repo Man”-to name a few.
The Los Angeles Aqueduct. Prolly the parts in or around City of Industry.
LA River
Its a river that was concretized to stop flooding. Some want it restored. It was never an aqueduct.
L.A. River. The 4th Street Bridge is popular, and goes over the river.
Mea culpa. I don’t live there and was going by memory, which was obviously a tad off.
Also the Walt Disney Concert Hall is in almost every car commercial with a city scene. I think the newly opened Broad Museum across the street will start to show up more as well.
And if it isn’t downtown, it’s the PCH near Point Mugu. That rock is in so many car commercials, I felt I had to take a picture of my car there, as well.
By PCH, do you meant the Pacific Coast Highway?
That’s why I learned to call it as a kid in LA.
The Vincent Thomas Bridge (down in Long Beach) and the Four Level Interchange in downtown Los Angeles also get a lot of play in car commercials as well as film and television features.
Stranger
That’s what the locals call it.
It’s actually a soundstage on the Moon; they just dress it to look like Los Angeles.
