What is the actual evidence against Dorner?

I’m not sure this it the right forum, so if it’s not please move it.

I’m not normally a CT believer and I did miss the start of this story because I was off the net. Can someone direct me to the actual evidence that Dorner is the guy he is portrayed to be? I’ve read a bit of the crazy manifesto with all the "xxxx"s. Has it been proven that he actually wrote it? Is there any direct evidence that he murdered the people he has been accused of murdering?

Thanks.

The LA Times has posted maybe 100 articles on Dorner since the first murders occurred a week ago. They have a timeline that serves as a decent summary.

The manifesto was posted to his facebook page, and he apparently sent packages to some members of the media, including Anderson Cooper, in which he acknowledges his plans to kill.

He’s been physically ID’d at some of the crime scenes, and they have surveillance camera footage of him. They’ve found his ID and his vehicle at separate locations, and I’d imagine they’ve got some forensic evidence too.

This story says that they officials were so concerned about Dorner’s potential for violence that they “took the unusual step of summoning armed guards to stand watch at his disciplinary hearing.” He apparently made no secret of his intention to exact revenge.

What does CT stand for in this context?

Conspiracy theory.

Oh. Are there conspiracy theories around this?

I guess there’s enough nutcases on the Internet that there’s always a conspiracy theory…

CNN is reporting right now that he may have just killed two more officers, and that he’s still in the Big Bear area. Somehow he managed to elude one of the most massive manhunts in American history and resurface with a vengeance, and do so in the same area where the manhunt is taking place. Dude’s got skills.

I can only think of Rambo in First Blood.

I’m guessing suicide by cop before the end of the day.

Looking over his manifesto it strikes me as only about a 3 or 4 on the crazy scale (with 1 being the guy at the pub who advocates going back to the Gold Standard, 5 being anti-vaxers and 10 being David Icke).

In it Dorner claims “Do not deploy airships or gunships. SA-7 Manpadswill be waiting. As you know I also own Barrett .50′s so your APC are defunct and futile.” Is it at all possible for him to have an SA-7?

I assume the main debate will be whether he was a crank and a liar who deserved to be fired, or was the victim of revenge on a whistle blower…

My sources tell me there is a hostage in the cabin and that several minutes ago the hostage could be heard yelling at Dorner. The words were crisp and clear and carried through the peaceful mountain community . . . “It’s over, Johnny! . . . it’s over!”

People desperately want the real world to be as interesting as the movies.
I totally get it. Also, considering his manifesto is more sane than crazy–by a surprising margin, you want to be able to sympathize with him. But then he threatens families and innocents and then most likely actually murdered innocents…you realize he’s past the point of return.

I believe he’s got the LAPD dead to rights in his allegations of wrong-doing and racism, and I hope that this actually does shed more light and provide the community and city government to put pressure on the LAPD to improve.

Or assassination by cop so he deliberately does not get his day in court.

Latest reports are that the LAPD has 270 pounds of barbequed fugitive on their hands.

Suicide by ex-cop, apparently.

I started a GD thread for you. I kind of half agree, half disagree. Too bad he offed himself. I would have liked to see how the aftermath played out.

Color me confused here. Did you not understand the dude asserted that he was disciplined, not because of his own misdeeds, but because of what he charges are “wrong-doing and racism” on the part of the LAPD?

Who’s to say he did it? Sure would’ve been a convenient way to shut him up.

Guess I’m not the only conspiracy theorist tonight. From reddit, a supposed police scanner recording saying “We’re gonna go forward with the plan, with the… with the burner. The one that, uh… like we talked about. Seven burners deployed, and we have a fire.” (burners supposedly being gas grenades that could sometimes start fires).

I think the speculation of suicide is based on the (apparent) single gunshot that occurred after the police (apparently) used deadly force in the form of fire to end the threat to their lives.
