I have to be careful about plugging my phone into someone else’s car because the sing that comes on is “AA XXX” (Double-A Triple-X) by Peaches — AA XXX - Peaches - YouTube
That’s my #1, too.
It’s on my 1000 song workout playlist, which I shuffle when I hit the gym. For some reason it has come up within the first 10 songs every time for the past month…randomness is not working very well.
Every damn time I connect my phone to my car stereo the song ‘A’ by Barenaked Ladies starts up.
I’ve grown to despise the first five seconds of that tune.
mmm
Heh. Mine is “A. Morricone: Love Theme (Tema d’amore) From “Cinema Paradiso”” by Joseph Calleja. I know the first few seconds very well!
I’m going to call that a fluke of the labeling. The first true alpha entry, very appropriately as mentioned, is also A1 on the Jukebox, Dave Edmunds.
A-Punk. It’s always the first one that plays after my iPod drains and gets recharged in the car.
For that reason I’m really sick of the song but my son loves it.
I have the Edmunds tune too (big DE fan), but the Barenaked Ladies A is the one listed first.
mmm
Hell’s Bells by AC/DC is always the first song I hear before I hit the random button.
Sorted by song, it’s #9 Dream by John Lennon.
American Pie by Don McLean
“1 2 3” Said the Prospector - Riders In The Sky
#9 Dream - John Lennon
(Ain’t That) Good News - Sam Cooke
007/Mission Impossible/Peter Gunn - Brian Setzer
A Beautiful Morning - The Rascals
You decide which is first.
“A-Tisket A-Tasket” but by Manhattan transfer
With numbers sorted first - as god intended - it would be '2:10 Train"
By title: 007 (Shanty Town), by the Aces (reggae)
By title, not counting numbers: A, by Arvo Pärt (an organ piece)
By artist: 10,000 Maniacs, “Eat for Two”
By artist, not counting numbers: A. A. Milne, “Sneezles” (poem)
“Aaron Harris Blues” by Jelly Roll Morton.
Song: “Abracadabra” - The Steve Miller Band
Track: “Abortion” - George Carlin
Song, numerically: “24’s” - T.I.
Track, numerically: “The 11 O’Clock News” - George Carlin
On my iPhone: Be Magical (Tokyo DisneySea theme park music)
On my Galaxy: 1 2 3 4 5 by Ken Lazslo (Italo-Disco music)
On my phone; A Bitch Iz A Bitch by NWA, which is a complete surprise as rap/hip-hop makes up maybe 3% of the music I have.
If numbers/other symbols don’t count, Zep’s “Achilles Last Stand.”
If they do, then it’s Agalloch’s “…And The Great Cold Death Of The Earth.” Numerically, Ozric Tentacles’ “0-1.”
Mine, too!
Same here. My “device” is iTunes, because that’s what I use to manage all of my MP3s and my iPod. If numbers came first, it would be “1 2 3” by the Indigo Girls.
When I sort alphabetically by artist, Aaron Copland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” is first. ![]()
It’s no “Caught Somewhere in Time” or “Heaven Can Wait” (guess my favorite Maiden album!), but I’d say it’s definitely a classic. Catchy hook, if nothing else.
Seconded.
