The correct answer is DOCTOR WHO.
If so, then we’re missing :
Game ChangeHatfields & McCoys
Hemingway & Gellhorn
Luther
Sherlock: A Scandal in Belgravia
Downton Abbey
The Big Bang Theory
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Girls
Modern Family30 Rock
Veep
All of whom got Emmy noms. *And two of which won, but aren’t listed *(and yes, the top listed on that list are mini-series, but so is American Horror) . Nor are we just listing Dramas, as Dowton Abbey certainly is and Weeds is considered a Comedy.
Not to mention, Revolution neither did well in the ratings and was savaged by critics.
In other words, the OP could only remember the shows he liked, which *of course *everyone else must love.
Cut him a break. A teensy bit of critical thinking will reveal to you that he is merely interested in our opinions of the shows listed.
The question could have been better worded, but I see no reason to string the OP up by his virtual testes.
Or to swirl your eyeballs.
mmm
Archer would be my choice. But off that list I would actually go with Mad Men.
So, you missed the 6th post somehow?
Here it is. Glad to help.

Certainly feel free to add your own if you don’t like any listed

I voted for GOT, but my wife didn’t like any on that list when I showed it to her.
Her pick - Parenthood
What’s interesting is how many of what folks consider the best shows (especially critics) have to do with violence and/or crime. Oz, The Soparanos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, The Shield, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Dexter.
I’ve never seen any of those shows.
We can’t edit the OP’s poll, so we can’t add anything. But in any case, my statement stands- the OP made a list for a poll. The shows as listed do not include any of the most popular shows, and many lacunae exist for most critically-acclaimed shows .
That doesn’t even come close to the wording of the OP.
Archer is the best show on television.
Of the shows on the list The Walking Dead is the only one I watch regularly but I just don’t have much time at this point in my life to watch TV. Thank Og for DVRs.
*Community *was the best show of last year. Whether it’ll be any good at all when it comes back without Dan Harmon, nobody knows. In the meantime, it has to be listed.
I haven’t seen any of the shows listed in the Poll. Or Archer, although I suspect it might be worth a look given the shows I called as the top two:
#1 - The Big Bang Theory
#2 - The Venture Bros.
Those numbers would be reversed if Doc Hammer &co. would get off their bums and release the next couple of seasons (which have already been ordered, AIUI)
I refuse to say on the grounds that everytime I do express a preference for a show it is immediately cancelled.
Stupidly named SyFy I’m looking at you! Jerks!
-
Big Bang Theory
-
Dr. Who
-
Phineas and Ferb
SyFy just went off the air.
My favorite shows on TV right now are Last Man Standing, Blue Bloods, and Malibu Country.
God bless you always!!!
Holly
Can’t argue with either of those - I am coming to LOVE BBC’s Sherlock.
You know, I think you might be onto something there.
My vote for best show on tv - BBC’s “Misfits.” So profane! So entertaining!
Huh?
I thought it was a good list, my favorite shows are on it. I voted for Breaking Bad.
