What is the best translation of Don Quixote?

Seeing the documentary Lost in La Mancha (about Terry Gilliam’s abortive attempt to make a film based on DQ) gave me the urge to read Don Quixote again.

I read it several years ago in a translation by Richard Emery Roberts. The writing style was very dry, I thought. (Even so, the humor of the original shone through.) I am wondering if there is a more artful translation available for my second go at the book.

Anyone have any thoughts or info?

Anyone?

Say, if a Mod should happen by, maybe I’d have more luck with this question in Cafe Society. I would be obliged if it could be moved there.
