What is the coolest Palm OS software?

I need to load up! Color stuff is preferable…

AvantGo, of course.

Speaking as a Palm afficionato (sp?) I would recommend the following:

Launcher III: Once you use this tabbed interface, you will never go back to the regular Palm interface. You also have an extremely easy way to beam software to others using drag and drop.

Hackmaster: If you don’t get anything else, you have to at least get this. This is a program that will allow you to use “System Hacks” which are small programs that allow you to enhance your Palm OS and add some great features. I use the following “hacks” on my palm: SwitchHack for effortlessly switching between two palm programs (It also will list the last 10 programs you ran and let you switch to them), EVEdit Hack which will add some nice editing tools to your notepad as well as expand it’s memory (Plus a whole lot more).

BigClock: This is a full featured alarm clock that the following: 4 different time zones, 4 different alarms, Stopwatch, ability to show time in large numbers or on an analog clock display, and more features I can’t remember. I use this program on my palm as my alarm clock to wake me up in the morning.

CSpotRun: “Doc” files are text files formatted for the Palm. CSpotRun is a good free doc file reader.

There are plenty of web sites to find palm software that is free. One of the best is http://www.palmgearhq.com/ .

Hope this helps you out, Opal, and I hope you enjoy your Palm as much as I have enjoyed mine.

Simcity is exactly the same (must be better in color)

endora is needed (and free) if you have internet access for yor palm

mapopolis os ok but hard to use on the monochrome screen

I have a Handspring Visor Prism…

so far I don’t have a modem for it (I’m gonna get the wireless one and it’s a mighty big chunk of change) so internet stuff is useless for now…

Hmm… vindingo looks cool (I got it) but of limited application… it only works in certain cities, right?

Silver Screen, which is color-capable. Better looking than Launcher, IMO. For working with Word and Excel files, I’m trying to decide between Documents to Go and QuickOffice.

I downloaded and installed a nice-looking POP3 email client called mMailPlus from http://www.hezarts.com the other day; sure, there must be a thousand others out there, but this one just looks nice, there’s a colour version too.
