I see some definitions of the term on Urban Dictionary that date back to 2006 or so; what is the oldest use of the term that you can source?

Did we really need another word for Killjoy (Charles Burney, 1776)?
Google search has this page tagged with a date of Feb 28, 2003, but I don’t see anything on the page itself with that date, so I’m not sure how reliable it is.

First time I’ve ever heard it. Unnecessary.
Wet rag and wet blanket, Debby Downer, stick in the mud, spoilsport, party pooper, drag, many more. We don’t need any more, but they’ll keep coming.
It’s how language works. No reason it shouldn’t be, really. I mean, there are lots of emotions and concepts and items we have multiple terms for. I’d say that’s the same in most, if not all, languages.
This is the first I’ve ever heard this word.
I expected a seriously different definition.
