I’m guessing that it is APWU or GEHA.
Does this article answer your question?
My question could’ve been more specific, but you nailed it. Thanks
For those not wanting to follow the link the answer is:
Blue Cross/Blue Sheild
Now would the OP be kind enough to tell me what APWU and GEHA stands for?
[sup]I thought BCBS was the obvious answer.[/sup]
**Collectively, the Blue Cross Blue Shield family of companies ** (it really is something like 40 separate but related companies) insure 1 in 3 Americans. Which hands down makes them the largest health insurance system in the United States. They also extend into places like Puerto Rico and Guam. So, if you know all that, yes, it’s an obvious answer.
Does the Veteran’s Hospital organization count?
Yeah… but not all veteran’s are in that system. So it counts, but it still isn’t as big a Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Also, the country’s largest employer - the government - has about 60% of its employees covered by the Big Blues.
I’m not the OP so forgive me for jumping in here. GEHA stands for the Government Employees Hospital Association. It’s the 3rd largest health insurer in the U.S.
APWU stands for the American Postal Workers Union. They offer a health plan for postal workers.
