what’s the most compatible blank cd to use for older cd players?
I’ve been using regular Memorex blanks and they play just fine on my 10-yr-old Sony and my 12-yr-old laserdisc player.
The most compatible CDs that I have found are those made by Taiyo Yuden. Unfortunately, they are under several brands, and are not the most commonly used CD manufacturer. I know for a fact that FujiFilm 24x are Taiyo Yuden discs, and they have been the best for me. I can even burn them at 40x (full 80 min) and they are great.
