What is the name of that German marching (?) song...

…that was in the original Wolfenstein computer game?

It also appeared in the second (I think) of the last three Foyle’s War - a rather delightful BBC series dealing with crime in WWII England.

In this latter instance…

German POWs had been out on a supervised stroll in the British countryside on a particularly beautiful day, and as they marched back to the prison camp they sang the song in question.

I’d like to have said they sang in defiance, but it seemed to me their hearts weren’t in it. My guess is they were out of the war, getting somewhat coddled by the very proper Brits, and glad of it.

Anyway, I’d like the name and where I can download it to my iPod.

Is it this one?

Never heard the Wolfenstein music, haven’t clicked the YouTube link while at work… but the archetypal Nazi march is the Horst Wessel Song.

Sailboat

That’s it!

Thank you, GuanoLad and Sailboat.

Read some of the comments at You Tube. If the writers
mean it, there are still Hitler worshippers on this planet!

You weren’t aware of this?

And that YouTube commenters are frequently pretty dim.

Lucky guy.
