What is the name of this movie?

Back in the early or mid 80’s there was a movie I watched on TV. I cannot remember for the life of me what this movie is called. To make it worse, I somehow missed the ending and never found out how everthing was resolved.

The story was about a family (Father, mother, teenage daughter and little girl, I think.) that moved into this community where everyone belonged to this one club. Everyone in the community from the Father’s boss to the neighbors, not only were members of the club, but were quick to start pressuring them to join the club. There is a ritual that everyone goes through when the join the club and afterwards, we find that those who go through the ritual are changed somehow. What we end up finding out is that the owner of the club is some sort of demon/devil type person and that the ritual acutally steals the souls of those who join the club and replace it with some sort of demon entity.

This is about how far I got into watching this. The thing that is driving me crazy here is the ending. The story had the mother and 2 daughters joining the club, with the father not being there and the little girl changing her mind at the last second. I have always wondered what happened after that. Oh yeah, the father worked for a company that was testing this highly technical suit that could witstand extreme environments.

So does anyone know the name of this movie and how it ends?
