What is the size of your bed?

Queen, my wife and me.

For the first five years of marriage, we had a full which was very uncomfortable as I’m 6’4.

I have a twin bed, and I lie awake at night wondering where the fuck my brother is.

We have a queen. It’s just big enough for me, Rhiannon8404, and our two 60-pound dogs…

Twin

ETA: My feet stick out, I stopped tucking in the sheet & blanket.

King for my Wife and I and sometimes our two dogs. They get up and down during the night.

Queen. Normally sleep 2 plus 2 cats, has fitted 2 small children and an extra cat on occasion. Don’t really think about getting a bigger one, would take up too much room in this small house and I’d need to replace all my cotton high thread count bed linen which would be a pain.

Queen, with only me in it. I try to sleep in the middle but end up on the same side closer to the nightstand. Just rotated the mattress for spring.

This headboard and nightstand, no footboard.

Queen, for me and husband and 1 to 3 cats. I wish we had a king size, and an extra long one, but it would not fit in the room .

Cal King. Plenty of you for my wife and me.

Until the cats join us. When all three join us, there’s no room.

This should read “It’s just barely big enough…” The dogs are like a whole third person.

Twin, although considering all the blankets and pillows I surround myself with, it might as well be even smaller. (I’m pretty small)

Full. I have furniture from the 30s and my bedroom is pretty small. My only overnight company these days is provided by my two cats, who love me but do not like each other. Fun stuff.

I’m another one who does not use all the available bed real estate. If I could afford to redo my room I’d switch to a twin (or a day bed) and add a comfy chair.

My bed is full size. I only use half of it when I’m alone and my laptop, Kindle, phones, tablet, etc. go on the other half. I’m a very still sleeper.

Full. Plenty big enough for me and a cat or two, although I switched from a king, and the first couple days with the smaller bed, I was sure I’d fall off.

I don’t know.

I mean, I know my mattress and box spring are Queen, and Queen sheets fit it, but it doesn’t seem to fit my bed all that well. Side to side is fine. There are several inches between the end of the mattress/box spring and the foot of the bed. Like, 6 or 7 inches. We shove throw pillows and bolsters in the gap, otherwise the mattress shimmies towards the foot and we start losing pillows and elbows into the gap that opens at the top.

Weird, isn’t it? This is the bed, advertised as “Queen”, with an 83 inch bedrail. But either it’s more than 83 or my Queen mattress set is less than 80. Either way, somethin’ ain’t quite up to spec.

Love the bed though. It’s my pretty pretty princess bed.

Queen, sleep alone mainly.

I would be perfectly happy with an extra long twin if I always slept alone.

Mine is 6’10". He can fit on the king-size bed, diagonally. And in addition to us, there may also be two large dogs and two cats, or any combination thereof.

Queen, memory foam, occupied solely by me and Princess Baja, the most wonderful cat in the world (or so she tells me).

Queen. Two humans and one cat most nights.

I said we have a queen bed, but looking up the exact size, I noticed that the standard Dutch mattress is 8 inches longer (220 cm instead of 200 cm) . And our “queen size” is 2 inches wider then the US standard .
