Queen for my wife and I. I like the width, but I wish it was about 6 inches longer so my feet could be on it with the rest of me.
King. Nominally just for my wife and I, but my three-year-old son climbs into bed with us in the middle of the night very, very often.
King, mostly alone, but with three cats, who somehow manage to take up most of it by themselves. Most mornings I wake up in the middle of a cat sandwich.
The Divemaster also has a king, along with one cat, who also rules the bed real estate. We’re allowed to sleep with her.
King for just me and the two dogs (shepherds) My boy dog starts out on the bed every night but may wander off during the night, and the girl comes for snuggles in the morning, but usually sleeps in the guest room. Plenty of room for all of us.
The bed takes up almost the entire room. There’s just enough room for a laundry basket at the foot and a nightstand on one side. Not ideal, but the mattress was on sale in king size only when I needed a new one, and then a year later a suitable frame went on sale which ended up taking up way more space than I thought it would. Clearly the bedrooms in my house were not sized for anything larger than a double, but I just use one bedroom for the bed and the other bedroom for my walk in closet.
Queen, though only half of it gets slept on every night. I’m used to riding the edge of the mattress.
