What is the Tea Party movement, really?

Pat Buchanan is an opponent of empire. I have no problem with my politics resembling his in that way. In any case his isolationist views on economics policy are hardly influential in the party. Unless you count the support of sanctions of Cuba, Iran, etc. (which are despicable, the sanctions that is), the Republicans aren’t isolationist. Though non-interventionists are becoming slightly more outspoken.

ISTM any libertarian should have some objection to paleoconservative politics.

Which is why I support his opposition to military adventurism and little else.
