I know that the first Godzilla (1954) was killed by the oxygen destroyer. (Reduced to bones, if I’m recalling correctly.)

The Smog Monster
I mean, the movie itself. Big G wasn’t hurt that badly by Hedorah, the actual kaiju. But that movie nearly killed the franchise. :rolleyes:
…and then the bones dissolved. There was nothing left of the Big G after that.
I think of that Oxygen Destroyer every time I see those TV ads for the capsule medication “with laser-drilled holes”. It looks as if they’re miniature Oxygen Destroyers made to dissolve the mini-Godzillas in your stomach that are causing you gastric distress. Heartburn, you know.
Godzilla’s fate at the end of the first few movies:
Godzilla – dissolved
Gigantis the Fire Monster (Godzilla Raids Again) – buried in a mountain of ice
King Kong vs. Godzilla – disappears under the water, doesn’t come up. Apparently he just gets buried in the mud.
Godzilla vs. the Thing/Godzilla vs. Mothra – wrapped up in a giant cocoon by the Mothra twin caterpillars, he drops into the ocean again.
Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster – Godzilla just wanders off
Monster Zero/ Invasion of the Astro-Monster – Godzilla still at large
Ebirah/Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster – Godzilla still at large
Son of Godzilla – Godzilla and son frozen under snow and hibernate on what apparently becomes Monster Island
Destroy All Monsters – Godzilla (voluntarily, apparently) returns to Monster Island

Glowing red and due for a imminent meltdown, Godzilla battles a monster somehow spawned by the Oxygen Destroyer.
Let’s just say the Big G survives at least one of these threats.

He actually doesn’t. He melts down and dies but the franchise is carried on by Godzilla Junior who is in the movie, killed, brought back to life and is seen at the end of the movie.
Are we counting times where he’s died then comes back to life? That’s happened a time or two thanks to radiation and/or Rodan.
As for the OP’s question, it kinda depends. You can’t say anything nuclear since he feeds on that, so it’d be some kind of monster fight. Gidorah is his strongest enemy so I’ll go with an assault by him.
Although there’s one of the movies, I can’t remember which (against Gigan I want to say?) where Godzilla gets pretty bloodied up…he survived that.
Terror of Mechagodzilla sees him pretty heftily pounded, drawing blood when the Robot goes weapons free on him. Then he gets buried alive. Comes back, rips off Mechagodzilla’s head to find a more powerful weapon underneath that hurts him (and sets him on fire). Godzilla only wins because the remote brain (in a cyborg) gets destroyed.
I’d just like to take a moment to remind you all that Gojira is VERY real. It is the country of Japan that is a work of fiction.

Godzilla most grievous injuries mostly occured in official manga I’d imagine, where sufficiently competent artists can do with just ink what film cannot even with an excessive budget.
