This guy’s accent sounds almost like General American, but for the fact that some vowel sounds have a bit of a drawl – like when he says words like “on” and “are.” It’s not pronounced enough to be a true Southern accent, so I’m thinking maybe some Western accent – Oklahoma perhaps?
Any linguists want to take a guess?
NOTE: I don’t believe in ghosts, but I watch paranormal YouTube channels because I love laughing at them.
I found the channel’s creator on LinkedIn, and it gives his location as Alabama. I can’t say if that’s a typical Alabama accent.
It’s possible that he’s a transplant and his accent has taken on a subtle drawl. Mine certainly has. I grew up in Central Illinois speaking 100% pure General American. I’ve lived for the past five years in the Ozarks. I still speak General American, but’s now it’s ever-so-slightly sprinkled with Ozark.
