I threw my back out recently, a fairly regular (every 2-3 years or so) occurence that has been happening since I was 18. It’s all muscle based, no disc problems, and after 3 days I’m usually 90% back to normal, 100% after a few days more.
This time, something weird happened. As I hurt my left side, my right side muscles had to overcompensate to help keep me upright. After a few days of this, as the back pain was healing, the skin on my right side started getting super-sensitive, to the point that my shirt brushing against my skin hurt. It’s been a week and the sensitivity is still there. What the heck is going on?
The problem starts at my back just right of my spine and wraps around the side to my stomach, ending almost directly opposite of where it begins, and it goes from just under my chest to rigtht above my hips. Someone suggested that overstimulated nerves can go off like this for a while, but I’m looking for other options, and if there’s a way to get the “overstimulated nerves” to chill the #$(@ out. And by the way, there’s no rash associated with this at all.
Any ideas?
