Used in security… Much like a cable used to connect a computer to a desk semi-permanently. The plate that covers the two screws is held into place by the cable that is looped through the hole.
I’m looking for one larger, specifically one that you could easily take a normal sized master lock to.
And I can’t for the life of me figure out what its called.
Try googling “security hasp”.
very very close, I’m just looking for the hook with the plate, not the hinged covering being a plate.
Ok, I found it, but strangely enough I can only seem to find that one specific model and I have no idea of the specs (a height of .9 in, but including the width of the bar and the height the plate from the flat surface and the hole might be extremely small).
How do I find out the width of that hole? And why can I only find that one model?
I’ve googled every variation of security, plate, lock, cable, etc… and this is the only thing I can find.
These are designed as hinged hasps, but should do what you want: Ace Hardware | The Helpful Place - Ace Hardware
